"OO-LORD!" is a semi-oxidized "Iron Goddess of Mercy" (also known as Tieguanyin 铁观音) wulong tea from villages in Anxi, Fujian Province. One of the ten most famous teas in China, it is a tea that served as the first step for many into the world of high-quality tea.
According to the legend, a peasant in Anxi County discovered the first bush of this tea when shown to him by the Goddess of Mercy, as a sign of gratitude after the farmer took good care of her abandoned temple in the region.
The finished tea consists of large leaves of the Camellia sinensis var. sinensis tea plant. After harvesting fully grown leaves each spring and autumn, the leaves go through multiple cycles of withering, tossing and rolling in order to initiate a mild change in the tea with oxidation. Edges of the leaves become brown due to mild oxidation and the finished, rolled tea is bursting with flowery and fruity flavours like jasmine, orchids, mango, ripe peach.
