Biluochun (碧螺春), or literally translating, "green snail spring" is one of the most famous and sought-after green teas of China. An unusually vibrant, slightly bitter green tea, it is harvested in early spring from a hairy cultivar of the tea tree which is also visible in the final brew. The dried, curled leaves reseble snails and snail meat in their appearance, hence the name of the tea. This exquisite green tea was harvested from buds and young leaves in early spring of 2020.
